Fire Rescue News - Fire officials blame squirrel for blown transformer and fire at Absegami High School

GALLOWAY TWP. -- Authorities are blaming a squirrel for causing an electrical malfunction at Absegami High School, forcing student to be evacuated.

It's believed one of the rooftop air conditioning units shorted out, causing others to work harder than normal. They eventually started smoking, sending clouds through the building.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

The High School was closed Wednesday because of the electrical problem.
