Fire Rescue News - Homeowner injured in overnight Atlantic County house fire

An overnight fire damaged an Atlantic County home, and sent the homeowner to the hospital.

The fire was reported at about 3:45 a.m. inside a home along Route 40, Harding Highway, near Arbor Avenue in Buena Boro.

Officials with the Landisville Volunteer Fire Company say the fire started in the home's kitchen -- and took about an hour to extinguish.

The back of the home received heavy fire damage, and the homeowner was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
