While on scene of a non injury mva on Interstate 44 a Waynesville Rural Fire Protection pumper was struck from the rear by a car travelling at 45 to 55 mph. The pumper was parked in the left hand lane protecting the scene which include a Missouri State Highway patrol car. There were no injuries to the responders but the vehicle that struck the pumper two occupants were transported with moderate injuries.

Proper apparatus placement save lives and protects the scene
