Burning hay closes Rt. 40 in Franklin Township

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP - A tractor trailer's load of hay caught fire Saturday morning on Route 40, closing the roadway, police said.
According to Officer Frank Gaetano, firefighters responded to the scene to douse the burning hay bales, and the Department of Transportation is currently managing the cleanup.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
