Warren and Karen Unkert pleaded guilty in September to growing marijuana in their Mullica Township home.

But not all the weed was outside. In the couple's bedroom, police found five plastic containers of marijuana and a digital scale, along with $31,440 in cash, a loaded 9mm semiautomatic pistol and a .22-caliber starter pistol. There was also a plastic bag of marijuana in the couple's freezer.

Warren D. Unkert, 49, pleaded guilty to maintaining or operating a marijuana facility. Superior Court Judge Albert Garofolo sentenced him to five years in state prison.

Karen C. Unkert, 50, admitted to manufacturing marijuana. She was sentenced to five years of probation.
