Fire Rescue News - Two people injured in head-on Estell Manor accident - after a driver tries to pass another vehicle

Fire-Rescue News

Two people were injured in a morning, head-on accident in Estell Manor - after a driver tried to pass another vehicle, but didn't make it back to the right lane in time.

The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m., along Route 50, south of Cumberland Avenue.

State Police with the Buena Vista Station say a female driver was trying to pass another car, when her car collided with an oncoming SUV. The woman was flown to the Regional Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, with serious injuries.

The other driver received moderate injuries. Passing is legal on some sections of the road.

State Police expect to release more information later today.
